Studio Foundations: Operating a Professional Art Practice is a practical workshop designed for visual artists who want a clearer understanding of what it takes to operate at a professional level.

Led by Erin Page, professional Art Consultant, Artist Advisor, and founder of Page Art Projects, this session offers real-world insight into how working artists structure and sustain their practices. Topics include studio infrastructure, professional documentation, pricing frameworks, organization systems, and navigating relationships with galleries, advisors, designers, and collectors.

This workshop is well-suited for:

  • Emerging artists seeking clarity around professional expectations
  • Working artists looking to strengthen systems and refine how they show up professionally

Expected outcome:

Participants will leave with concrete tools, frameworks, and a clearer understanding of how artists “play at a certain level” within the contemporary art world.

This workshop is provided with the support of the Cultural Arts Department of the City of Carlsbad.

Campana Studios is a nonprofit, grassroots organization that creates platforms for visual artists to engage within our community.
